We Answer Your Questions About Serums and Boosters

Samlingsbild booster

Serums and boosters work deep within the skin and often contain powerful and active ingredients that effectively strengthen, hydrate, protect or prevent various skin conditions. The goal is clear - to deliver results. Depending on which serum or booster you use, you can easily tailor your skincare routine to achieve your desired results. But which serum should you choose and in what order? And do you really need to use both serum and booster? We answer your questions.

"Do I need to use both serum and booster?"

A simple rule of thumb for choosing which serum and/or booster to use is to start with your age, skin type, and your skin's current condition or needs. A booster often contains fewer ingredients, but with a higher concentration than serum, and is used to treat specific skin conditions or improve skin health. Therefore, you can customize your day-to-day skincare routine by adding one or more boosters depending on what you want to work on. Our boosters can thus be used in combination with your serum or moisturiser to maximize your skincare routine. For example, the Vitamin C10 Booster works against pigmentation and can be combined with all our serums. The Retinol Facial Oil strengthens the skin, reduces fine lines, and can be combined with all our serums. If you use our Calming Serum, you may have dry, sensitive, and reactive skin, if so, we recommend that you skip your serum in your skincare routine and go straight to your day or night cream. Remember, you do have to have the same skincare routine every morning and evening, it is okay to vary based on what you want to address or how much time you have.

"What serum is best for summer?"

If you are going to be in the sun during the day, our Moisturising Serum and Vitamin C10 Booster are a good combination. We recommend using serums and boosters that contain Retinol (Ageless Serum, Ultimate Serum, and Retinol Facial Oil) in the evening as Retinol breaks down in the sun. The most important thing, however, is to make sure to have high sun protection on your nose. Hydrating Sun Protection has both SPF 30 and SPF 50.

"My skin often turns red. What products should I use?"

Try our Calming Serum, it works wonders against redness. One tip is to combine it with our blue Sensitive series.

"Do you have any serums or boosters that do not contain oil?"

Our Moisturising Serum is completely oil-free, as well as our Vitamin C10 Booster and Calming Serum. There is also very little oil in the Ageless Serum and Ultimate Serum.

"I am 53 years old and have good skin, but quite sun-damaged. Which booster is best for me?"

If you have sun-damaged skin, we recommend using Vitamin C10 Booster in the morning and Retinol Facial Oil in the evening. Vitamin C works to reduce pigmentation caused by sun damage, and Retinol strengthens the skin. Then we also recommend our Treatment Niacinamide Formula, which works against pigmentation. Most importantly, use sunscreen if you are going to be in the sun.

"Why have you chosen to develop a retinol product in oil form?"

It is a very light oil that is amazing to apply to the skin but also provides a moisturising and hydrating effect with the help of oils from Jojoba, Olive, and Sunflower.

"You have chosen the ingredient Retinoate 0.3% in your Retinol Facial Oil - why that ingredient and concentration?"

This is a modern form of retinol that does not irritate the skin but is just as effective as others. A concentration of 0.3% provides really good results and is also the concentration recommended by the EU.

"How and when do I use Botanical Glow Oil in my skincare routine?"

Botanical Glow Oil can be used in several different ways in your skincare routine. You can either use it alone on the skin to give it a healthy glow, or as a final step in your skincare routine to seal in moisture. The best way to apply it is to take a few drops in your palm and "warm it up" by rubbing your hands together. Then gently press it into your face and neck. The oil is also great to use over makeup for a nice glow.

"Botanical Glow Oil contains an ingredient called 'Prickly Pear', what is it?"

It is an exclusive oil extracted from the seeds of the Prickly Pear cactus. It is very rich in protective antioxidants and has repairing properties for the skin.

"Which serums and boosters make a super duo for different skin types?"

Oily and acne-prone skin: Moisturising Serum and Vitamin C10 Booster.

Normal skin: Vitamin C10 Booster during the day and Retinol Facial Oil at night. These boosters can be combined with the serum you have in your skincare series.

Sensitive skin: Calming Serum both morning and night.

Dry and dull skin: Vitamin C10 Booster and Botanical Glow Oil in the morning and Retinol Facial Oil at night.

Mature skin: Vitamin C10 Booster in the morning, Retinol Facial Oil at night, and then Botanical Glow Oil for glow.
